Dear Mr Roberts and Staff,

On behalf of sheppard house students at Havelock North Intermediate we would like to thank you for welcoming us into your environment. We all learnt something new and found things interesting. We all came back to school blabbing about the amazing things we saw. You guys explained stuff very easy to understand. The ways that you make your furniture is lovely and very interesting.

The Highlight of my day was working together in a team to design our own table. I think that is a great idea to pick the greatest one and design it. It was also great when Mr Roberts was presenting his slide show, because we learnt a whole handful of things.
Thank you guys so much for welcoming and taking us for a little trip around the place.

Kind Regards,
Lexi Bell

Use your creativity to come up with 3 alternative names for this very exciting game!
Get em out
4 Quarters
4 teams 4 balls

Imagine another class here at HNI has not played this game before. Complete the rules below to clearly describe the aim of the game and exactly what the rules are.
The aim of the game:  Force others to get points stop your team from getting points.
Rules:
  1. You have to sit on your butt
  2. Each team starts with the ball
  3. You throw the ball around all of the squares
  4. If a team has 3 balls in their quarter they get a point
  5. The more points you have the more you are losing

Game Adaptations
Use your creative thinking to explore possible adaptations to this game to enhance both the fun factor and the ability to win the game. I have given you one example for each category but challenge yourself with other ideas and thinking.

Attack
Defence
Game Plan/Strategy
  • Use a Volleyball so it's not so hard
  • 3 people can go on there knees and defend
  • Get in a better spot to get into it more

My pic collage

This a pic collage of my life. You will see lots of things about me and what I like doing. You can see a emoji of a frog, well I made that. There are also lots of other things you will see to get to know me better.

What is a New Zealander

This is a task I did for homework. We had to interview a New Zealander. I interviewed my Mum and then my Dad

Key tag

This is what I made in Tec at HNI. We went through lots of stages. I made this to go on my school bag. I made a green and orange surfboard.

REACH Values

Today we did some interesting sides to the Reach values
Resilience - Created with Haiku Deck, presentation software that inspires

I am from...

I am from….

I am from a place where the island grows.
from looking out my window and how at night the moon glows.
I am from summer walks
From wind flowing through my hair.
I am from waking up seeing my surfboard standing, waxy sticky if hot, dripping. Need to move to the shed, and get ready for surfing.
I am from biking, racing the hot red truck, it’s always winning.
From the beach refreshing morning swims, I need to paddle paddle stand up like a spring.

I am from Gingers to Maori
From bike rides around the town, getting ready for the big ride.
I am from Jumping in bushes to team family with thumbs to thumbs
from the hot summer outdoors
I am from people boogie boarding, surfing and playing with the sand.

I am from ham every Christmas to Jays boat trips in the summer.
from wet dog and walks on the beach.
I am mostly from the warm hearted New Zealand.
